Friends in Nepal is trying very hard to keep its costs down because it
realizes volunteers are making a big sacrifice and have saved for a
long time to come to Nepal. At present we have decided not to include
flights or insurances in our costs of £400. On top of this there is a
charge of £30 per month for accommodation and food. e.g:
- 3 months £400 + £105 =£505
- 2months £400 + 70 = £470
The cost includes:
- Registration
- Administration fees
- Placement donation (which includes scholarships and sponsorships for children in remote areas
- Placement visits
- 1 weeks accommodation during language course and orientation
- 1 week language course
- 1 week cultural/orientation course
- Cultural tour/trekking
- Collection from the airport, transport to and from your placement
- Amienities
- Legal services
The £400 cost does not include:
- Flights
- Insurance
- Visa fees
- Accommodation and food (This is an additional £35 pounds per month)
Regarding VISA:
This must be Tourist Visa for maximum 5 months. During this period you
are unable to earn money or take paid work.
