Gathering Stones

Smiling Nepalese Child

At first I was very worried about hosting the volunteers from abroad because it was my first experience having a westerner staying in my house as a guest. I was weak in conversational English, and unaware of their eating habits. For few days it was hectic making them comfortable with the environment of my house, but slowly I found them adjusting to the Nepalese way. They were ready to eat what ever we ate, and they helped me a lot in my work. It was good for me and my children to have a volunteer from Friends In Nepal help our conversational English, and it was nice to learn about western culture.
