Teaching Placement
This placement can be in Kathmandu the Kathmandu valley or further a
field. The nearer to Kathmandu the better the spoken English. In the
villages the spoken English will be very basic .You will be able to
teach children from age group of 3 to 16 yrs old. Please state your
preferance. Conversational English will be your main subject. Unless you
feel you can offer another subject (but bear in mind where you want to
be and their level of English )
We are also looking for qualified teacher who will be willing to teach
teachers
Recycling Placement
- Bio Gas. In this placement you can work in village area where the raw materials
are available for preparing biogas. This placement can be in Chitwan,
and near by Katmandu.
- Renewable Energy.
This is a kind of placement those who are interested in village where
electricity is produced with the help of politic set. You can help out
the local people for generating electricity with the help this set. This
placement is ideal for those people who have an idea about renewable
energy. This placement can be in Jhapa or Illam.
Solar Energy Placement
This placement can either be in the village or in the Kathmandu valley.
In village you can help out locally established company or the project
on which work in solar energy. In the valley your placement can be in a
place like solar power Vehicle Company or in any other project related
with solar energy.
Horticulture Placement
This can be either working in local garden center learning about the
flora of Nepal. Your placement will be in the botanical garden, local
nursery and helping local expert for garden plan and landscape
designing.
Social Work Placement
This can be a joint placement working in local Children Homes in the
evening and holidays as well as teaching in school during the day. Your
placement also can be done in Child Care Center during the day where
children under the age of 1.5yrs to 4yrs are kept. This placement can
be in Kathmandu as well as in Chitwan
Community Adult Education Placement
This placement can be arranged in Chitwan where men and women are to be
taught about basic reading and writing, providing them with books and
other materials, teaching them about health and hygiene and the way to
generate income through different ideas.
Field Work Placement
This placement are limited as Nepal does not have a Social Service
Department .The placement will be with NGS\'s(non-govt agency),visiting
village and families.

Length of stay is optional 1-5 months in 1 calender year. If these dates are not suitable we can specialize in tailor made packages. The reason for these set dates is to maximise your language tuition and cultural course.
Nepali School system has its school holidays as follows:
- March 15days to 1 month (summer break)
- Oct 15 days to 1 month (Festival Vacation)
- Mid-Nov to mid-Dec 15 days to 1 month (Winter Break)
- Late Dec to Mid Jan 15 days (Exam Break)
Schools decide at the last min. about their holidays. You could turn up
at school one day and find they are on holiday.
